Longing for a break

Over the weekend we were again south in Mandurah with Jodie’s family, celebrating her sister’s impending 40th birthday. This morning I did my usual and hit Facebook on my iPhone and as I scrolled through the status updates there was one from Aimee (Jodie’s niece) saying that some arsehole had set the place she was renting on fire, it now appears that they’ve poured petrol onto the shit couches out the front and set the ablaze in the wee hours of the morning.

Initially Aimee called her parents thinking someone was attempting to break in, soon enough she discovered that the house she and her 20 month old son were living was on fire. Apparently some druggies had previously lived there, the police believe that this was the motivation for the attack, the offenders not realising they’d left (she moved in 3 weeks ago).

I hope that they catch whoever did this, bunch of gutless fucking wankers picking on a single mother and her child, almost killing them in the process. The firies reported that she was just 2 minutes from losing consciousness, thank heavens she woke early enough.
