Like most other iPhone users worldwide I eagerly anticipated the arrival of apple’s update for the iPhone. I fail to understand why it was that they didn’t release their first iPhone with certain features that other phones had had for years, namely mms. Thankfully with their latest firmware release they have finally delivered this small, but useful feature.

Amongst the other features contained in this firmware update was: cut, copy and paste; ability to forward SMS and mms messages; ability within safari to open a link in a new window; voice memos; greater support for push technologies; improvements to safari (still no flash mind you); tethering via USB or Bluetooth; expanded Bluetooth support; plus many more. Those lucky to own the new iPhone 3GS get more still as a result of its updated hardware.

A welcome update. If you’re an iPhone user and haven’t upgraded yet I recommend updating asap to the firmware we should have seen in the first iPhone.
